About IMU Alumni

The Advancement & Alumni Office (AAO) was established in 2016 to strengthen engagement with IMU alumni by fostering lifelong connections with the University and among alumni themselves. Through this platform, alumni are encouraged to share experiences and expertise while benefiting from exclusive offers, professional networking opportunities, events, and volunteer initiatives.

With the formation of the Alumni Association of IMU (AAIMU) and various alumni chapters, alumni participation has grown significantly over the years. This active involvement continues to create meaningful value for both alumni and IMU students through mentorship, collaboration, and community-building initiatives.

As an IMU Alumni you are entitled to many benefits such as:

As an IMU alumnus, you gain access to a wide range of exclusive benefits through our Membership Privileges programme. These include special discounts and offers from selected partners across hotels, healthcare services, travel, bookstores, food and beverages, and many other lifestyle categories — along with additional perks introduced from time to time.

How to Access Your Membership Privileges

  1. Log in to your Alumni Portal and navigate to the Membership Privileges
  2. A full list of available partner offers and benefits will be displayed.
  3. If you are unable to log in, please proceed with registration.

How to Enjoy the Benefits

Privileges vary depending on the partner. Some may require:

  • A discount or corporate code during booking or purchase, or
  • Presentation of your IMU Alumni e-Card via your mobile device.

If you are already registered and can access the Membership Privileges section via the portal or mobile app, you may use the relevant codes or follow the partner-specific instructions provided.

How to Obtain Your e-Card

The e-Card is available through the IMU Alumni Portal Mobile App, developed exclusively for IMU alumni and available on both Android and Apple platforms.

Steps:

  1. Download the IMU Alumni Portal App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
  2. Log in using your Alumni Portal credentials.
  3. Go to My Profile and select e-Card.
  4. Present the e-Card to participating partners or enter the corporate code where required to enjoy your privileges.

We encourage all alumni to activate their accounts and make full use of the benefits available.

IMU graduates who wish to continue their academic journey at the postgraduate level are eligible for an exclusive alumni bursary of up to 15% of the tuition fees for selected programmes.

This initiative reflects IMU’s commitment to supporting lifelong learning and professional advancement within our alumni community.

As an IMU alumnus, you are eligible to access selected facilities and resources at the IMU Library, supporting your continued learning and professional development beyond graduation.

By registering for Alumni Library Membership, you will be able to:

  • Borrow printed library materials from the IMU Library collection
  • Access library resources on-site, including journals and reference materials within the library premises
  • Renew borrowed items via telephone or the online library catalogue

Membership Requirement

A one-time refundable caution deposit of RM400 is required to activate borrowing privileges.

Please note that access to certain electronic resources may be limited to on-campus use due to licensing agreements.

IMU Healthcare is an integrated healthcare ecosystem offering a comprehensive range of services, including Medical, Dental, Chiropractic, Chinese Medicine, and Dialysis care. Our facilities provide care across the full continuum — from primary healthcare to advanced specialties and sub-specialties — designed to meet the needs of patients of all ages and backgrounds.

As an IMU alumnus, you are entitled to an exclusive 10% discount when you visit any of IMU’s healthcare facilities, as part of our commitment to supporting the lifelong wellbeing of our alumni community.

The IMU Student Counselling Services serves as a dedicated support unit to assist IMU graduates in their personal and professional transition after graduation. The service provides a range of support, including:

  • Individual counselling
  • Group counselling
  • Career guidance
  • Referral support

These services are complimentary for up to 12 months (maximum of six sessions) from the date of graduation and are available exclusively to IMU graduates.

Graduates who have progressed to partner schools for further studies or who have completed their programmes at partner institutions are encouraged to connect with the counselling services available at their respective universities.

As an IMU alumnus, you are entitled to an exclusive 20% discount on selected facility rentals and equipment hire within the university. This includes access to a variety of spaces and resources such as:

  • Meeting rooms and classrooms
  • Lecture theatres
  • Projectors and PA systems
  • Stage lighting and related equipment
  • Dance studio and other available facilities

Please note that support services, including helpdesk assistance and cleaning, will be charged at the standard applicable rates.
