Clinical Psychologist

a)           Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments (clinical interviews, psychometric testing).

b)           Diagnose mental health conditions using DSM-5-TR / ICD-10/11 criteria.

c)           Prepare detailed psychological reports.

2. Therapeutic Intervention

a)           Provide individual, group, couple, or family therapy.

b)           Deliver evidence-based therapies such as:

·       Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

·       Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

·       Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

·       Trauma-focused therapies

c)           Develop individualized treatment plans.

d)           Monitor and evaluate treatment progress.

3. Psychological Testing

a)           Administer and interpret standardized assessments (e.g., IQ tests, personality tests, neuropsychological screening tools).

b)           Provide medico-legal or educational reports when required.

4. Multidisciplinary Collaboration

a)           Work closely with psychiatrists, medical specialists, counsellors, and allied health professionals.

b)           Participate in case discussions and clinical meetings.

c)           Provide psychological input into overall patient management.

5. Documentation & Compliance

a)           Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records.

b)           Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and professional standards.

c)           Follow local regulatory requirements (e.g., Malaysian Allied Health Professions Act, if applicable).

6. Crisis & Risk Management

a)           Assess suicide risk and self-harm behaviours.

b)           Develop safety plans and provide crisis intervention.

c)           Refer to psychiatry or emergency services when necessary.

7. Education & Community Engagement

a)           Conduct psychoeducation sessions and mental health workshops.

b)           Provide training for staff or community groups.

c)           Promote mental health awareness initiatives.

·       Registered with relevant regulatory body (e.g., Allied Health Professions Council Malaysia, if applicable).

·       Valid practicing certificate

·       2–5 years clinical experience preferred (fresh graduates under supervision may be considered).

·       Experience in hospital, specialist clinic, or mental health centre setting is an advantage

·       Strong clinical judgment
